By: Mitchell Frantz

UPDATE: the following stars have also been announced for PPW VIII:

-Bobby Fish: The former 2-time WWE NXT Tag Team Champion and 3-time Ring of Honor Tag Team Champion will be making his first independent wrestling appearance since being unexpectedly released by WWE.

-Mercedes Martinez: Similarly to Fish, Martinez will be making her first independent wrestling appearance since he sudden release. The tattooed star is a former PPW Women's Champion.

-Noah Kekoa (fka Kona Reeves): Kekoa is known most notably for his time on WWE NXT, where he worked under the name of Kona Reeves.

-Juventud Guerrera: "The Juice" will be making his first appearing in a PPW ring since February of 2019. The former WCW Cruiserweight Champion was recently seen on AEW facing WCW rival Chris Jericho.

-Rachael Ellering: The daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Paul Ellering is an accomplished wrestler, highlighted by her run as one half of the Impact Knockouts Tag Team Champions alongside Jordynne Grace.

-Ace Austin: The former Impact X-Division Champion is regarded as having one of the brightest futures in all of wrestling. Austin most recently appeared in PPW during the Impact co-hosted shows in November of 2019.

-Kaci Lennox: The former MLW backstage announcer turned wrestler will be making her first appearance in a PPW ring on Saturday, September 11th.

PPW’s Anniversary Show is always one of, if not the biggest event of the year, and 2021’s 8 Year Anniversary is no different. Plenty of stars will be appearing on September 11th, including the man formerly known as Buddy Murphy, nZo and CazXL (formerly known Enzo Amore and Big Cass), AEW’s Matt Sydal and AEW’s Fuego Del Sol!

Buddy Murphy as he was known to WWE fans was known as “The Best Kept Secret,” and it is easy to see why. Murphy was a former WWE Cruiserweight Champion as well as a former WWE NXT Tag Team Champion, and had made a legitimate argument to be considered one of the best professional wrestlers in the world with his standout matches on the main roster as well as the 205 Live brand. Buddy Murphy is being brought to PPW in conjunction with KH Promotions.

Enzo Amore will also be appearing, and this will be nZo’s second time in PPW. His first time was at PPW’s Sixth Anniversary Show. The former cruiserweight champion is best known for his partnership with CazXL, his WWE Cruiserweight Championship run and his charisma on the microphone.

Speaking of CazXL, he is set to make his first appearance in a PPW ring on September 11th. The 7-foot New Yorker’s career highlights include the beloved tag team with the aforementioned nZo as well as being the runner up in the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia.

Matt Sydal is a current wrestler for All Elite Wrestling. Bursting onto the scene as Evan Bourne in WWE, Sydal is a former WWE Tag Team Champion and one of the best high flyers in the world. He recently lost to Andrade El Idolo in Andrade’s first match with the Jacksonville-based promotion.

Fuego Del Sol is known mostly for turning heads in AEW with his athleticism, and the masked man recently picked up his first victory in AEW over Ryan Nemeth. The masked competitor is a tremendous luchador with a dazzling offense that fans will not want to miss.

A big thank you to Cody for the quick turnaround on the graphic.
