Pratt to Challenge MLW’s Richards

By: Mitchell Frantz

Desean Pratt has long been one of the standard bearers in PPW, but he will face what could be his toughest test to date when he takes on MLW’s Davey Richards!

“The Prince of Camden” comes into this contest highly irate, as he lost in a major upset in the opening round of the PPW Heavyweight Championship tournament. In fact, Pratt had the match won, but a match restart by PPW Commissioner TJ Masters allowed for Encore to pick up the surprise victory in a match that also featured Facade.

Bitter and frustrated by the shocking upset, the Camden native must turn his attention to one of the best wrestlers in the world, Davey Richards. “The American Wolf” was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler by the Wrestling Observer Newsletter in 2011, and is a former Ring of Honor World Champion. He has dozens of other accolades to hang his hat on, but Richards is more interested in getting it done between the ropes.

While these two have not competed against each other, their styles should compliment each other very well. The two are similarly sized, have incredibly lengthy resumes and are both at the top of their games. Not to mention, both are expert technicians who can take to the air when the situation calls for it.

In the end, only one man can win. Will it be the PPW mainstay, Desean Pratt? Or will the former Impact and Ring of Honor Tag Team Champion be victorious?
